SC issues call up notice for third time to former deputy speaker NA Qasim Suri

ISLAMABAD (National Times) Supreme Court (SC) has issued call up notice for the third time to former deputy speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri for not appearing during the hearing of his appeal against Election Tribunal decision.

It has been said in the order issued on Thursday that according to his brother, Qasim Suri is absconding. Call up notice is issued for second time to Qasim Suri.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa took up the case for hearing Thursday.

The court was told during this time that notice was sent to Qasim Suri on his address which was received by his brother.
His brother told Qasim Suri is absconding.

Upon it the CJP remarked we issue notice to Qasim Suri again.

The CJP inquired counsel Naeem Bokhari have you not any objection over issuing of notice again.

Naeem Bokhari said he has no objection over issuing notice again to Qasim Suri.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period.

The court has summoned Qasim Suri for remaining deputy speaker on stay order and giving ruling against vote of no trust motion.
