118 persons lost lives, 3785 tested positive due to COVID-19 in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: As many as 118 deaths occurred and 3785 people tested positive during the last twenty four hours in the country.

As per National Dashboard, the number of confirmed cases has ballooned to 858,026 while death toll has climbed to 18915.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province as 9032 fatalities have occurred so far in this province.
4,726 casualties occurred in Sindh, 3,588 in KP, 708 in Islamabad, 507 in Azad Kashmir, 247 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB..
317,972 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 291,668 in Sindh, 123,842 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 77,974 in Islamabad, 23,324 in Balochistan, 17,866 in Azad Kashmir, and 5,380 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As per the official data by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 40,736 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours out of which 3,785 tests returned positive.
About 757, 281 people have recovered across Pakistan from coronavirus.

A day earlier, Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar had called for unity in response to the third wave of coronavirus, warning that the “danger is higher than ever”.

Rescue 1122 staff has been deployed at the Pak-Afghan border because of the rise in Coronavirus.
