ISLAMABAD (National Times): Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ is being observed across the country with religious zeal and reverence. Special Milad gatherings, Seerat conferences, Naat programmes and other events are being held in different cities to commemorate the blessed birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ.
On the occasion, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Amjad Hussain have extended greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah and called for following the Seerat of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and promoting brotherhood, tolerance, justice, equality and peace.
President’s Message
President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message, extended heartfelt greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the blessed occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
He said the birth of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ was a great blessing and mercy for all humanity. The Seerat of the Holy Prophet ﷺ provides a comprehensive guidance for peace, compassion, tolerance, justice, equality and brotherhood.
The President said that by following the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, society could promote unity, mutual respect, tolerance and social justice. He urged the nation to renew its commitment to shaping individual and collective lives in accordance with the Uswa-e-Hasana and caring for vulnerable and underprivileged segments of society.
He emphasized that the Muslim Ummah, in particular, needed unity, solidarity, tolerance and mutual respect to confront the challenges of the contemporary era.
The President prayed to Allah Almighty to bless Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah with peace, prosperity, progress and stability and grant them the strength to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ in their lives.
Prime Minister’s Message
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, felicitated the nation and the Muslim Ummah on Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ and said that the blessed life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ was the best example for all humanity.
He said the Holy Prophet ﷺ laid the foundations of a society based on justice, equality, brotherhood, tolerance, compassion and respect for humanity.
The Prime Minister said the Seerat of the Holy Prophet ﷺ teaches that every individual must discharge their responsibilities with honesty and a strong sense of duty to promote peace, stability, brotherhood and prosperity in society.
He said Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ provided an opportunity to renew the commitment to implement the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ in individual and collective life. He stressed the need to play a role in eliminating hatred, intolerance and injustice from society in the light of the Uswa-e-Hasana.
The Prime Minister prayed that Allah Almighty bless Pakistan with peace and stability, lead the country towards progress and prosperity and grant the Muslim Ummah unity and solidarity.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s Message
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari extended heartfelt greetings to the nation and the entire Muslim Ummah on the blessed occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
He said the Seerat of the Holy Prophet ﷺ was an eternal source of mercy, justice, compassion and peace for all humanity. The message of the Holy Prophet ﷺ transcended the boundaries of time and space.
He said the true welfare of humanity lay in following the Uswa-e-Hasana of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, standing with the oppressed, supporting the vulnerable, exercising forgiveness and respecting the dignity and rights of every human being.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged the nation to draw guidance from the blessed life and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and renew its commitment to brotherhood, tolerance, kindness and service to humanity.

National Assembly Speaker’s Message
National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in his message, extended greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ and said that the birth of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ was a source of mercy for all humanity.
He said the Seerat of the Holy Prophet ﷺ was a perfect example of love, brotherhood, justice, tolerance, mutual respect and good conduct.
He said Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ provided an opportunity to renew the pledge to incorporate the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ into individual and collective lives and promote love, brotherhood, mutual respect and tolerance in society.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ was an essential part of faith and its true manifestation was to follow his teachings and exemplary way of life.
He emphasized the need to promote unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah by rising above sectarianism, prejudice and differences.
He also said that the Seerat of the Holy Prophet ﷺ provided comprehensive guidance regarding the rights, dignity and protection of women, children and all segments of society. Protection of the rights and dignity of every individual was essential for establishing a civilized and peaceful society.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister’s Message
Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Amjad Hussain, in his special message on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, said that if a process of reform was initiated at every level, from the individual to society, in the light of the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, society could become an ideal example of peace and harmony.
He said following the Uswa-e-Rasool ﷺ was essential for creating an environment of brotherhood, peace and goodwill.
The Chief Minister said 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal was a day of reflection and renewal of commitment for Muslims. By strengthening their bond with the teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, Muslims could build an exemplary society.
He said the universal teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ called for moderation in all matters, adherence to justice under every circumstance and reconciliation of broken relationships. The teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ offered hope and happiness to suffering humanity.
Amjad Hussain said the Holy Prophet ﷺ was sent not only for Muslims but as a mercy for all humanity and the entire universe. He extended greetings to Muslims across the world, particularly the people of Pakistan, on the blessed occasion and prayed that Allah Almighty illuminate every Muslim heart with the blessings of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal and bless Pakistan with its abundant blessings.
Across the country, special Milad gatherings, Seerat conferences and other programmes will be organized at mosques, public and private institutions and by various organizations. Religious scholars and speakers will highlight different aspects of the blessed life, teachings and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ.
