Rawalpindi (National Times) Security forces successfully foiled two infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR stated that 13 militants, described as Indian-sponsored “Fitna al-Khawarij,” were killed during the operations.
In Mohmand district, security forces detected the movement of a group attempting to infiltrate the border and engaged them effectively, resulting in the killing of eight militants.
In a separate incident in North Waziristan, another infiltration attempt was thwarted. Following an intense exchange of fire, five militants were neutralized.
The ISPR urged the Afghan government to ensure that its territory is not used for terrorist activities against Pakistan.
It further reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to defending the country’s borders. Clearance operations are ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining militants, and efforts under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam will continue at full pace to eradicate terrorism, particularly that supported from external sources.
