PMD forecasts rain and snowfall in parts of Balochistan

QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and snowfall in several districts of Balochistan on January 21 and 22, urging residents and tourists to remain cautious. According to the department, snowfall is expected in Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Quetta, Noshki, Harnai and Zhob. Rain is likely in Barkhan, Sibi, Musa Khel, Quetta, Ziarat, Gwadar, Jiwani and Lasbela. Other areas including Panjgur, Khuzdar, Kech, Awaran, Chagai, Loralai, Turbat, Kalat, Washuk and Kharan are also expected to receive rainfall during the two-day weather spell. The PMD has advised tourists to avoid unnecessary travel and asked residents of coastal areas to move to safer locations as a precautionary measure.
