Two children killed, father injured in gas cylinder explosion in Charsadda

CHARSADDA(National times)- Two young children lost their lives while their father sustained critical injuries after a gas cylinder exploded inside a house in the Tareq Abad area of Utmanzai, Charsadda, on Thursday morning. According to Rescue officials, the explosion occurred inside the house with a loud bang, causing severe damage to the premises. The blast proved fatal for two minor children, a son and a daughter, who died on the spot due to the intensity of the explosion. The children’s father was seriously injured in the incident. Upon receiving information, rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured man to a nearby hospital, where he is reported to be in critical condition and receiving medical treatment. Following the explosion, panic spread across the neighborhood as residents gathered at the site. Police and relevant authorities also reached the area and cordoned off the location to assess the situation. Initial reports suggest that the blast was caused by a gas cylinder malfunction; however, local police have launched a formal investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
