Why the bail be not revoked of person who does not know how to come in the court: IHC

ISLAMABAD(National Times): Justice Amir Farooq of Islamabad High Court (IHC) inquired where are those who have filed appeal plea during the hearing of appeal pleas filed by Maryam Nawaz and her spouse Capt (Retd) Safdar against their conviction in Avenfield reference.

The lawyers replied Capt (Retd is offering prayers. Maryam Nawaz will reach within five minutes.

The court remarked this thing is wrong. Should we write that the accused are not present. Amjid Pervez should not have filed application for adjournment.

A division bench of IHC comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani took up for hearing appeal plea filed by Maryam Nawaz and her spouse Capt (Retd) Safdar against their conviction Wednesday.

PML-N leader Atta Tarar came on the rostrum.

The court remarked we have decided murder cases of 2020 and this case is of 2019.

Justice Amir Farooq remarked “ Tarar Sahb tell Amjid Pervez not to put this case in adjournment.

NAB requested the court the bail of the accused be revoked due to their absence

The lawyers told the court capt (Retd) Safdar was here just now. He is not visible.

The court remarked he is not visible. If he is man invisible. This is court. It should be ensured in future the accused reach the court in time.

The court accepted the excuse from Atta Tarar.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 08.
The court also expressed displeasure over saying greetings in loud voice by Maryam Nawaz.

Justice Amir Farooq remarked as to why the bail of the person should not be revoked who does not know how to come in the court.

The court remarked the accused don’t know what is the respect of the court.
