A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said seven children were recovered with no pulse, with fears that they had died under the collapsed structure.

He said the death toll could exceed 10, as Rescue 1122 teams on the spot reported to the Emergency Services headquarters that the condition of the trapped children was critical.
