Malir Bar Association elections to be held today

KARACHI(National times)- The annual elections of the Malir Bar Association will be held today (Thursday) at Malir Court, where 1,700 lawyers will exercise their right to vote. In the Malir Bar Association annual elections, Haider Bakhsh Ansari, Irshad Ali, Lutfullah Sailro, Sardar Khan Siyal, and Syed Ahmed Ali Shah are contesting for the president’s seat. Five candidates are also in the race for the vice president’s seat including Jameela Memon, Karamullah Solangi, Mir Ali Nawaz Jagirani, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Rajpar, and Shaukat Ali Bhand. For the general secretary’s slot, Azhar Ali Samar, Faiz Hussain Samo, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Mashhori, and Shabana Kazmi are contesting, while four candidates are competing for the joint secretary’s seat including Abdul Samad, Mushtaq Ahmed Rajpar, Nazir Ahmed Gorar, and Saddam Hussain Domki. Three candidates — Imtiaz Ali Mughal, Muhammad Musa Kolachi, and Shiraz Ahmed Bhatti — are contesting for the treasurer’s position. For the librarian’s seat, four candidates are in the field including Iqra Khan, Rubi Ejaz, Sardar Ahmed Khoso, and Zeeshan Ahmed Qazi. Meanwhile, 19 candidates are participating in the election for the Managing Committee member positions.
