Sindh announces Dec 26 holiday for Christian community

KARACHI(National times)- The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on December 26, in addition to December 25, on the occasion of Christmas for the Christian community. According to a notification issued by the Sindh Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, December 26, 2025, will be observed as a public holiday exclusively for the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas. The notification stated that all government, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh government will remain closed, except for essential services. Separately, the Sindh government has also issued a notification for a public holiday on December 25 in connection with Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, applicable to all government and semi-government institutions, as well as corporations and local councils under the Sindh government.
