Pakistan Army gifts grand mosques to people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

WANA(National times)- The Pakistan Army has presented a sacred gift to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the form of newly built and restored mosques. In South Waziristan’s Wana area, the Spin Mosque, constructed in July 2021 with the support of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South), features a vast courtyard and a beautiful prayer hall accommodating over five thousand worshippers at a time. The mosque’s Imam said that children from remote areas come here to gain both religious and modern education. Locals expressed deep gratitude to the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps for building such a magnificent mosque. The Pakistan Army has undertaken the construction and renovation of several mosques across the former FATA region. In Bajaur district, Frontier Corps KP (North) completed the restoration of the Suleman Khel and Ahrab mosques, previously damaged by terrorism. Responding to students’ requests, a grand Jamia Masjid Farooq-e-Azam was also constructed and renovated at the University of Malakand. Several mosque restoration projects were likewise completed in Mir Ali, Sararogha, Ladha, and Makeen areas of North and South Waziristan. Officials noted that the construction and restoration of these mosques have significantly strengthened harmony and brotherhood between the people and the Pakistan Army.
