Afghan regime responsible for deadlock in talks in Istanbul: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday said that Afghan regime is responsible for deadlock in talks. There is no progress in talks with Afghan regime, he said. He said that Afghan authorities are not giving assurance to Pakistan regarding misuse of Afghan soil against our country. Khawaja Asif said that Afghan regime must take solid measures for stopping defunct organizations responsible for damaging peace in Pakistan adding that Pakistan is facing terrorism due to infiltration of defunct organizations from Afghan bordering areas. Khawaja Asif said that a written guarantee from Afghan regime would help address the issue of terrorism in the region.
