KP reports 402 incidents of forest fire in a month

PESHAWAR (National Times) – At least 402 incidents of forest fire have been reported within a month in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to the report by Relief Department, 313 incidents of forest fire in the month of May and 89 in the month of June were reported. The highest number of 129 forest fire incidents were reported in Abbottabad.

The report further added that forest fires broke out at 55 places in Mansehra, 29 in Lakki Marwat, 39 in DI Khan and 24 in Swat. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of forest fires.
