ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the maintainability of the petitions filed against the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) decision about re-admission in the medical colleges when the medical tribunal has been activated.
A single bench of IHC presided over by Justice Amir Farooq took up the cases for hearing Thursday.
The court remarked during the hearing of the case If the matter of merit has to be seen then we will see only to the extent if the PMC was authorized to issue this order or otherwise.
The court ordered the lawyers of the parties concerned to file their replies in writing within three days.
The court also extended its order on non initiation of action against the students till court’s final decision.
The counsel for PMC told the court medical tribunals are functional and they are continuing their work. The appeal against medial tribunal will go to Supreme Court (SC).
He further told the court PMC wields the powers about the orders we have passed for re-admission.
