{"id":83064,"date":"2024-06-03T10:24:53","date_gmt":"2024-06-03T10:24:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=83064"},"modified":"2024-06-03T10:24:53","modified_gmt":"2024-06-03T10:24:53","slug":"imran-shah-mehmood-qureshi-acquitted-in-azadi-march-rioting-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2024\/83064\/","title":{"rendered":"Imran, Shah Mehmood Qureshi acquitted in Azadi March, rioting cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ISLAMABAD (National Times) PTI founder Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi have been acquitted in Azadi March and rioting cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imran Khan , Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Ali Muhammad Khan and Murad Saeed have been acquitted by the sessions court in Azadi March and violation of section 144 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judicial magistrate Ehtesham Alam announced decision on acquittal pleas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the cases registered in connection with May 9 incident in police station Shahzad Town Islamabad Judicial magistrate Umar Shabbir announced reserved judgment on acquittal pleas of PTI founder Imran Khan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court acquitted Imran Khan in both of the cases registered in police station Shahzad Town due to insufficient evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case the counsels Mirza Asim Baig and Naeem Panjutha had given arguments in connection with acquittal of PTI founder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The counsels had taken plea that FIR was got lodged by unauthorized person against PTI founder.
