{"id":81010,"date":"2024-05-04T01:47:07","date_gmt":"2024-05-04T01:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=81010"},"modified":"2024-05-04T01:47:13","modified_gmt":"2024-05-04T01:47:13","slug":"court-confirms-bail-of-pti-leader-umar-ayub-in-12-different-cases-related-to-may-9-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2024\/81010\/","title":{"rendered":"Court confirms bail of PTI leader Umar Ayub in 12 different cases related to May 9 incident"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RAWALPIND (National Times): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has confirmed the bail of PTI central leader Umar Ayub Khan in 12 different cases including violent demonstrations of May 9, attack on GHQ and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umar Ayub has filed surety bonds of different value in all the cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umar Ayub Khan appeared in the court along with his counsels<br>Malik Muhammad Faisal, Hasnain Sumbal, Aqil Khan, Saqib Ramzan and Chaudhry Azam.<br>The counsels of the respondents had completed their arguments on previous hearing in respect of interim bail of Umar Ayub. However court confirmed interim bail of Umar Ayub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon it Umar Ayub filed surety bonds in all cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 19 the court on the request of City police issued non bailable arrest warrants of 12 accused including Umar Ayoub, KP Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur, Shireen Mazari, Murad Saeed, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Shibli Faraz, Shahbaz Gul.<br>However the court withdrew warrants in respect of certain leaders including Umar Ayub on their appearance in the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is pertinent to mention here Umar Ayub was nominated in case No 708 of police station RA Bazar, case No 563 of city police, 836 of cantt ;police station, 759 of race course, 2106 of New town police station, 2076 of police stsation Sadiq Abad , 981 of civil lines police station, 914 of Waris Khan police station, 397 of police station Morgah, 744 of Sadar Wah police station and 940 of police station Taxila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umar Ayub in his short talks to the media men after his appearance in the court said he remains in contact with journalists of Islamabad persistently. I meet all during press conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To a question he said the decision about the return of people who had quit PTI will be made by PTI founder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During last Thursday he had met PTI founder in jail who had negated deal of any kind and made it clear on the nation that he cannot compromise on principles no matter how long they keep him in jail. That principles are supremacy of law and constitution. This message is for all the people of Pakistan. He does not believe in any deal.
