{"id":43840,"date":"2022-09-25T13:06:51","date_gmt":"2022-09-25T13:06:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=43840"},"modified":"2022-09-25T13:14:47","modified_gmt":"2022-09-25T13:14:47","slug":"dubai-port-world-chief-lauds-pakistan-armys-flood-relief-efforts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2022\/43840\/","title":{"rendered":"Dubai Port World chief lauds Pakistan Army&#8217;s flood-relief efforts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI (National Times) &#8211; Dubai Port World chairman Sheikh Ahmed Sultan Bin Sulayem called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Relief efforts in the wake of the devastating floods and all that can be done on the road to recovery for Pakistan were discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Ahmed Sultan, who earlier today visited flood-affected areas in Sindh, made a donation of 2.5 million dollars to the Army Relief Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The visiting dignitary commended the relief efforts of the Pakistan Army in the flood-affected areas and said that the UAE and its leadership stand with the people of Pakistan in this time of distress.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Ahmed Sultan committed to raising the issue of climate justice for Pakistan at the World Forums.<\/p>\n<p>The Army Chief thanked Sheikh Sultan for his valuable and timely support to Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Matters of economic development in Pakistan were also discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Sultan apprised the Army Chief of Dubai Port World\u2019s interest in investing further in Pakistan.
