{"id":33168,"date":"2022-05-21T06:35:38","date_gmt":"2022-05-21T06:35:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=33168"},"modified":"2022-05-21T06:35:38","modified_gmt":"2022-05-21T06:35:38","slug":"fia-prosecutor-opposes-immediate-indictment-of-pm-shehbaz-others-in-money-laundering-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2022\/33168\/","title":{"rendered":"FIA prosecutor opposes immediate indictment of PM Shehbaz, others in money laundering case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE (National Times) &#8211; Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz have appeared before special court central on Saturday in money-laundering case.<\/p>\n<p>As per details, PM Shehbaz will file an acquittal in the FIA money laundering case and his team of lawyers have prepared the petition.<\/p>\n<p>The court asked Shehbaz Sharif that what kind of security is it that the admission of plaintiffs was blocked during the hearing?<\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to mention here that the special court in Lahore had summoned the father-son duo for their indictment in the case last Saturday but it was deferred due to the premier s foreign tour.<\/p>\n<p>While answering the questions on rostrum, PM Shehbaz said that he has not done corruption of single penny in public service and if he has done any corruption then he could not have gone to London.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that investigations have been done against me in Dubai, France and Switzerland. &#8220;All my assets are registered in FBR. Investigations have been done for almost two years but they could not find corruption of even 1 Rupee. Political cases of corruption were filed against me,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, FIA prosecutor opposed the immediate indictment of PM Shehbaz and others.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the court has reserved the decision on the petition against Salman Shahbaz and others as proclaimed offenders.
