{"id":136037,"date":"2026-11-07T08:10:20","date_gmt":"2026-11-07T03:10:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=136037"},"modified":"2026-11-07T08:10:21","modified_gmt":"2026-11-07T03:10:21","slug":"kp-governor-faisal-karim-kundi-slams-double-standard-of-fazl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2026\/136037\/","title":{"rendered":"KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi slams \u2018double standard\u2019 of Fazl"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PESHAWAR(National Times)- Khyber Pakhtu\u00adn\u00adkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman\u2019s children enjoyed luxury trips to Turkiye, Europe and the United States, while others\u2019 children were sent to Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI respect the JUI-F chief but believe the current situation is the result of the actions of his brothers and sons,\u201d the governor told reporters as he visited the Jamil Chowk here to review the pace of construction work on underpasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is for their [Maulana Fazlur Rahman\u2019s son Maulana Asad Mehmood\u2019s] information: I never extorted anyone. I don\u2019t want to go into the details of why you send the children of poor people to Afghanistan, while your own sons go to Turkiye, Europe and the United States,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The governor said Fazlur Rahman and his family had themselves stated that they could not leave their homes after evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the JUI-F chief had been attacked and his brother intercepted by terrorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr Kundi said there was a zero tolerance policy towards facilitators of terrorists. He said he had held a meeting with the prime minister as a follow-up to last month\u2019s apex committee meeting.
