{"id":134956,"date":"2026-10-16T18:54:33","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T13:54:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=134956"},"modified":"2026-10-16T18:54:42","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T13:54:42","slug":"karachi-court-acquits-alleged-drug-baroness-anmol-alias-pinky-in-two-more-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2026\/134956\/","title":{"rendered":"Karachi court acquits alleged drug baroness Anmol alias Pinky in two more cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KARACHI(National Times)- A sessions court in Karachi on Friday acquitted alleged drug queenpin Anmol alias Pinky in two narcotics cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first case was registered with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in 2018 while the second case was registered at the Gizri police station in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anmol, who had been declared a proclaimed offender in both drug cases, had filed separate applications Section 265-K (power of Court to acquit accused at any stage) of the Code of Criminal Procedure for her acquittal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She appeared before the South additional and sessions judge via a video link at the hearing of her applications today, and the court acquitted her, citing a lack of evidence in both cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The court ordered her release from jail if she was not required in any other case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her brother, Nasir, has already been acquitted in the 2018 case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In August, a sessions court had acquitted Anmol in three narcotics cases registered at Karachi\u2019s Gizri police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anmol\u2019s arrest came to light in May when she appeared before a Karachi court.
