{"id":131740,"date":"2026-08-23T11:05:55","date_gmt":"2026-08-23T06:05:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=131740"},"modified":"2026-08-23T11:05:56","modified_gmt":"2026-08-23T06:05:56","slug":"security-man-martyred-in-mastung-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2026\/131740\/","title":{"rendered":"Security man martyred in Mastung attack"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">QUETTA(National Times)- A security official embraced martyrdom and six others sustained injuries in a roadside bomb explosion in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung district on Saturday, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials said that an explosive device planted in the Gro area of Khad Kocha along the Quetta-Karachi National Highway was detonated when security vehicles were passing through the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the vehicles was hit in the blast, resulting in the martyrdom of a security official and injuring six others, a senior police officer confirmed to&nbsp;<em>Dawn<\/em>, adding that other vehicles remain safe in the blast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the explosion, a heavy exchange of fire continued for some time. \u201cMiscreants escaped from the site as soon as more security personnel rea\u00adched the area,\u201d police officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the meantime, the body and the injured were rushed to the Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The highway was closed following the blast that suspended all traffic at various points, while a search operation was launched in the area to trace the miscreants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just a day ago,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2024379\">four labourers<\/a>&nbsp;working in an apple orchard were killed and three others injured in an explosion in the same area.
