CHARSADDA(National Times)-Two women were allegedly killed by their husbands in separate incidents, police said here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police said the first incident occurred in the Merakhail area, where a man allegedly strangled his wife over a family dispute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased woman\u2019s brother, Saleem Khan, reported to the police that he was at home when his nephew, Umair Alam, called and informed him that his maternal aunt was lying dead at her house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said he rushed to the house and found his sister dead. The complainant alleged that his sister had been strangled by her husband, Asif, a resident of the Hussainabad area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the second incident, a woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband following a quarrel in the Hajjiabad area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police identified the deceased as Rubina. Her brother, Nauman Siddiq, told police that he was informed that his sister had been shot dead by her husband, Shah Zaman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the complainant, he reached the scene after receiving the information and found his sister lying in a pool of blood. He told police that the incident appeared to have occurred following a dispute between the couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police registered a case against Zaman and initiated an investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bodies of both women were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, a 60-year-old man was killed, and his teenage son narrowly escaped an alleged attempt on his life when armed men opened fire on them over a quarrel between children in Shabqadar, police said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident took place in the Mian Palangzai area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shabqadar police said the deceased, identified as Khalid Khan, was travelling with his son when the alleged attackers opened fire on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police registered a case under sections 302, 324 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the deceased\u2019s son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the complainant, his father sustained bullet wounds and died at the scene, while he narrowly escaped the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He told police that the alleged motive behind the incident was a dispute between children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
