ISLAMABAD(National Times)- The Foreign Office (FO) rejected on Monday the Indian home minister\u2019s \u201cbaseless assertions\u201d linking certain arrests in his country to Pakistan, describing his allegations as another demonstration of New Delhi\u2019s \u201cmalicious campaign\u201d against Islamabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the FO statement did not specifically mention any remarks by Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, it was issued after Shah claimed on X that the Indian government had \u201cdestroyed\u201d an allegedly Pakistan-backed terrorist group, arresting scores of its operatives. He alleged that the group had backing from Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The FO said Pakistan \u201cstrongly rejects the allegations made by India\u2019s home minister, attempting to link Pakistan with certain arrests in India\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSuch propaganda is yet another demonstration of India\u2019s malicious campaign against Pakistan to divert attention from its domestic security challenges and to blame Pakistan for narrow domestic political gains,\u201d the FO statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It added that at home, India was a \u201crepressive state, brutally oppressing its minorities and silencing dissent\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExternally, India is exporting terror and abetting terrorists,\u201d the FO said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It further stated: \u201cUnfounded Indian insinuations cannot divert international attention away from India\u2019s state-sponsored terrorism, targeted assassinations, and subversion in foreign territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPakistan has repeatedly shared evidence of India\u2019s involvement in terrorism and destabilising activities in Pakistan. The convicted and serving Indian naval commander, Kulbhushan Jadhav, is undeniable proof of India\u2019s direct involvement in subversion and terrorism in Pakistan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The FO urged the international community to reject \u201cbaseless\u201d Indian allegations and hold India accountable for its \u201cstate-sponsored terrorism in the region\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
