{"id":131034,"date":"2026-08-11T18:00:28","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T13:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=131034"},"modified":"2026-08-11T18:00:29","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T13:00:29","slug":"lahore-court-sets-august-18-to-indict-tiktoker-rajab-butt-4-others-in-sexual-assault-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2026\/131034\/","title":{"rendered":"Lahore court sets August 18 to indict TikToker Rajab Butt, 4 others in sexual assault case"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LAHORE(National Times)-  A sessions court on Tuesday summoned TikToker Rajab Butt and four other suspects to frame charges against them in a case of alleged sexual assault of a social media influencer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafaryab heard a private complaint filed by the social media influencer against Butt and four others and directed all five suspects to appear before the court on August 18 for indictment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The social media influencer had filed the private complaint in 2025, alleging that she was subjected to sexual assault and subsequent blackmailing by the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She claimed to have evidence for the allegations, including WhatsApp conversations, a medical report and her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspects, who rejected the charges against them, had secured pre-arrest bail from a sessions court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last month, Nawab Town police&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2018642\">registered<\/a>&nbsp;a case against Butt and his accomplices for allegedly attacking some women and opening fire during an altercation at a cafe. A case was registered on the complaint of the same woman who accused Butt of sexual assault in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the July complaint, she alleged that Butt attacked her and some others at a cafe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Butt has been facing legal proceedings in multiple cases, including those involving allegations of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1963970\/youtuber-roughed-up-by-lawyers-at-city-courts\">&nbsp;hurting religious sentiments<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1983198\">promoting online gambling<\/a>, and physical assault.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE(National Times)- A sessions court on Tuesday summoned TikToker Rajab Butt and four other suspects to frame charges against them in a case of alleged sexual assault of a social media influencer.
