Balochistan, following which the total number of terrorists killed in the operation reached 79, state broadcaster<a href=\"https:\/\/www.radio.gov.pk\/13-07-2026\/security-forces-kill-five-more-khwarij-terrorists-in-balochistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0<em><u>Radio Pakistan<\/u><\/em><\/a>\u00a0reported on Monday, citing security sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operation Shaban is being jointly carried out across the province by the army, Frontier Corps (FC) and Balochistan Police following the terrorist July 7&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2013564\"><u>attack<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;in the Mangi Dam area, in which&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2013868\/38-security-personnel-martyred-54-terrorists-neutralised-in-recent-balochistan-attacks-dg-ispr\"><u>27 police personnel<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;were martyred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Security forces are targeting the terrorists through both aerial and ground operations, the&nbsp;<em>Radio Pakistan<\/em>&nbsp;report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It further quoted security sources as saying that a total of 117 terrorists had been killed during Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations in Balochistan since July 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Separately, a statement shared on the interior ministry\u2019s X account said Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the army and Balochistan FC and police for killing five more terrorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe commended the professional capabilities of the security forces in carrying out effective ground and aerial operations,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement quoted him as saying that \u201cthe fight will continue until the elimination of&nbsp;<em>Fitna-al-Hindustan<\/em>&nbsp;terrorists\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government uses the term&nbsp;<em>Fitna-al-Hindustan<\/em>&nbsp;to refer to groups in Balochistan it accuses of being sponsored by India to execute terrorist attacks on Pakistani soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naqvi said those seeking to undermine peace in Balochistan were being brought to justice and asserted that the entire nation stood firmly alongside the country\u2019s security forces in the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThose responsible for shedding the blood of innocent people in Balochistan deserve no leniency,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the killing of 114 terrorists in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations so far \u201creflects the high level of preparedness, professionalism, and operational readiness of Pakistan\u2019s security forces\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the country\u2019s civil and military leadership had taken a \u201cmutual and singular&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2014127\/mutual-and-singular-decision-by-leadership-to-end-terrorism-pm-shehbaz-says-after-balochistan-attacks\"><u>decision<\/u><\/a>\u201d to end terrorism after multiple major terrorist&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2013868\/38-security-personnel-martyred-54-terrorists-neutralised-in-recent-balochistan-attacks-dg-ispr\"><u>incidents<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;in Balochistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He made the remarks at a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee on the National Action Plan in Quetta, with Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chairing the meeting, PM Shehbaz said, \u201cOne thing is decided: it is a mutual and singular decision of the civil and military leadership that we must end terrorism collectively.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting was held a day after Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry shared during a press conference that at least&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2014017\"><u>42 people<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 four civilians, 27 policemen and 11 security personnel \u2014 have lost their lives in terrorist attacks and subsequent operations in Balochistan since July
