{"id":126386,"date":"2026-05-22T17:36:55","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T12:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/?p=126386"},"modified":"2026-05-22T17:36:57","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T12:36:57","slug":"anmol-alias-pinky-sent-to-jail-on-judicial-remand-in-narcotics-murder-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationaltimes.pk\/eng\/2026\/126386\/","title":{"rendered":"Anmol alias Pinky sent to jail on judicial remand in narcotics, murder cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KARACHI(National Times)- Alleged drug queenpin Anmol alias Pinky was sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand on Friday in multiple narcotics cases and a murder case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anmol was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1999759\/three-policemen-suspended-for-giving-protocol-to-drug-dealer\"><u>arrested<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;earlier this month in Karachi in connection with two cases pertaining to the possession of narcotics and an unlicenced weapon. She had&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2000274\"><u>already been booked<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;in multiple criminal cases prior to her arrest, taking the number of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2000709\/courts-reserve-decision-on-police-pleas-for-alleged-drug-queenpin-anmols-physical-remand\">cases<\/a>&nbsp;active against her to over a dozen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Friday, Anmol was brought to the Judicial Complex at Central Jail amid high security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was presented before the judicial magistrates concerned upon the completion of her physical remands in cases registered at the Baghdadi, Specialised Investigation Unit (SIU\/CIA), Gizri and Darakhshan police stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Friday marked the completion of Anmol\u2019s physical remands in a narcotics case and a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2001249\/anmol-alias-pinky-alleges-pressure-to-take-names-as-court-extends-physical-remand-in-murder-case\">murder case<\/a>, as well as separate&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2001694\">remands<\/a>&nbsp;in 10 \u201cold\u201d drug cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In all the cases, the prosecution requested further custody of the suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, she was sent to jail on judicial remand in all cases, while the investigation officers (IOs) were directed to produce a charge-sheet after completing their probe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier in the day, the South district and sessions judge had accepted the Darakhshan, Gizri, Garden and Defence police\u2019s requests to present Anmol in the Judicial Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2002246\/anmol-alias-pinky-sent-to-jail-on-judicial-remand-in-narcotics-murder-cases#karachi-police-seek-arrest-of-anmols-brothers-ex-husbands\"><\/a>Karachi police seek arrest of Anmol\u2019s brothers, ex-husbands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Separately, the South Zone police have sought the Sindh government\u2019s permission to dispatch a police team to Punjab for arresting 15 co-suspects in two cases in which Anmol was arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a letter dated Thursday, South Zone Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza requested Karachi Additional Inspector General (AIG) Azad Khan to forward the South SP Investigation\u2019s request to the Home Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The co-suspects included Anmol\u2019s former husband and \u201cfacilitator\u201d Muhammad Akram, another ex-husband and \u201cdrug supplier\u201d Nasir Ali Khan, her brother and \u201cmanager\u201d Muhammad Nasir Bux, and another brother and \u201cmule\u201d Shaukat Bux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beesal Emika alias Anna and Humaira Chinonso Solomon were named as \u201clynchpins\u201d between Pinky and an international drug cartel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list also included nine \u201cdrug carriers\u201d, namely Faraz Mehmood Yaqoob, Muhammad Amin Khan Khanju, Ghulam Mustafa Ibrahim, Sajjad Hussain, Zafar Iqbal, Qazi Muhammad Asif, Sohail Mushtaq, Waris Khan and Muhammad Zahid Noor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2002246\/anmol-alias-pinky-sent-to-jail-on-judicial-remand-in-narcotics-murder-cases#lahore-court-allows-fir-against-ex-dsp-muhammad-akram\"><\/a>Lahore court allows FIR against ex-DSP Muhammad Akram<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Lahore sessions judge had directed the police to register a first information report (FIR) against a former deputy superintendent of police of the Organised Crime Unit, Rana Muhammad Akram, who is reported to be Anmol\u2019s ex-husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an order dated May 20, Judge Iqtidar Ali Khan disposed of a petition filed by stage actress Yasmeen Tabassam, known as Nigar Chaudhry, who had alleged that Akram had \u201cconducted an illegal raid on her house and stolen away her property\u201d worth Rs5.5 million in July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noting that the Lahore police stated that Akram retired from police service on Feb 14, 2025, the order read: \u201cIt has become clear that police authority has failed to finalise departmental enquiry and to conclude about the guilt or innocence of the accused.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI(National Times)- Alleged drug queenpin Anmol alias Pinky was sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand on Friday in multiple narcotics cases and a murder case.
