DERA ISMAIL KHAN(National Times)-Two women were shot dead in separate incidents in the district, police said on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was learnt that an 18-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her husband over a domestic dispute in Al-Falah Colony, Wanda Kombo Himmat, in the limits of the Shorkot Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complainant, Yasir Khan Banochi, a resident of Bannu, said that his sister Sana Bibi had been married to the accused, Zaheerullah Banochi, about one and a half months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He alleged that her husband opened fire and killed his wife after the couple had an argument over a domestic issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old married woman was shot dead near Daryakhan Bridge in the jurisdiction of the Gomal University Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A brother of the woman told the police that his sister Fatima Bibi had been married to Gul Zaman alias Gulla about two years ago. He said an unidentified person had killed her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complainant alleged that his brother-in-law Gul Zaman may have killed his wife, claiming that he had made threats against him and his sister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police registered the cases and launched investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, the police seized 100 kilograms of silver worth millions of rupees and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in two separate operations in the district, officials said on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A police team intercepted a car arriving from Balochistan in the jurisdiction of Daraban police station and recovered the silver concealed in secret compartments of the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two suspects identified as Mohammad Waqar and Ramzan, residents of Mianwali district, were taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After legal formalities, the recovered silver and vehicle were handed over to customs authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a separate operation, the police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) recovered arms and ammunition near Zhob Adda on Dinpur Road in the limits of Cantt police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acting on a tip-off, the police team arrested a suspect identified as Samiuddin, a resident of Zhob. During search, four sacks were recovered from his possession, containing 15 rifles, 18 pistols and around 2,550 rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
