ISLAMABAD(National Times): Khawaja Haris, counsel for parents of Zahir Jaffer, prime accused in Noor Mukadam murder case told the court that the police very cleverly implicated parents of Zahid Jaffer in the case. <\/p>\n
The bail plea of parents of prime accused Zahir Jaffer in Noor Mukadam murder case came up for hearing before single bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) presided over by Justice Amir Farooq here Thursday. <\/p>\n
Khawaja Haris argued what talks were held between Zahir Jffer with his parents on telephone cannot be presumed. Nothing can be said on the basis of sheer assumption unless credible evidence of talks becomes available. It is case of prosecution that the parents sent the body to therapy works for disposal. How can such thing be said without evidence on one\u2019s own. <\/p>\n
Justice Amir Farooq inquired has Therapy works been made accused. <\/p>\n
The counsel told the court they are not witnesses. Therapy works was also made accused after 28 days of the incident. According to police challan the accused Zahir Jaffer was in contact with his parents. Police cleverly invented this story on their own. <\/p>\n
The court inquired Zakir Jaffer and Asmat Adam Jee said what in their statement before police. <\/p>\n
The counsel told the court the police inquired nothing from both of them during physical remand. According to police challan had Zakir Jaffer told the police earlier the life of Noor Mukadam would have been saved. Zakir Jaffer made telephone call to Therapy works at 7.05 o clock. <\/p>\n
The court remarked if the call was made to Therapy works at 7.05 then it means the incident may have occurred between 6.30 and 7. <\/p>\n
Khawaja Haris said Zakir Jaffer said to police during telephonic call the condition of Zahir Jaffer is not stable and police should take him with them. Prosecution has its own case that Therapy works people reached there after murder. According to prosecution the parents of the accused contacted Therapy woks after murder. It is my stance that the incident which occurs after murder can not be called abetment in murder. When murder had taken place then how could some one be charged in abetment in murder. <\/p>\n
