While chairing a meeting, the chief minister emphasised that the government will now support widows and orphans of Punjab as they are no more helpless. CM insisted that it is the responsibility of the government to provide support to the underprivileged individuals. Under the initiative, the government will provide Rs100,000 to each widow while Rs25,000 will be given to each orphan.
