ISLAMABAD(National times)- Pakistan Air Force (PAF) carried out airstrikes and targeted Afghan Taliban\u2019s important military installations in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia. In those strikes, two brigade headquarters have been destroyed in Kabul while one corp headquarter and one brigade headquarter have been destroyed in Kandahar. An ammunition depot and logistics base have also been destroyed in Kandahar, and a corp headquarter has been destroyed in Paktia. In an update posted on X at 3:45 am Friday, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said Pakistani counterstrikes inside Afghanistan were continuing and had inflicted heavy losses on Taliban forces. More than 80 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers were also destroyed in the operations, which Tarar described as Pakistan\u2019s \u201cimmediate and effective response\u201d to Taliban aggression. Speaking earlier to Pakistan TV, Tarar said the action followed Afghan Taliban fire at multiple locations along the Pakistan\u2013Afghanistan border. \u201cUnprovoked firing by the Afghan Taliban regime along the Pakistan\u2013Afghanistan border is being and will continue to be responded to in a strong and effective manner,\u201d he said. Tarar also slammed the Afghan Taliban regime for spreading false narratives after suffering heavy losses, saying fabricated claims were being amplified by Afghan and Indian social media accounts to mislead the public.
