ISLAMABAD(National times)- Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, has announce to stage sit-in outside Parliament House from today (Friday), Dunya News reported. In his statement on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Achakzai said that a peaceful sit-in will begin outside Parliament House from Friday. He said that the opposition alliance will present their demands during the sit-in and added that the sit-in protest will continue if the demands are not accepted. He added that, God forbid, if anything goes wrong in accepting the demands, the government will be held responsible. Senate opposition leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas also spoke to the media alongside the PTI leadership. He announced that opposition alliance, Tehreek-i-Tahafuz-i-Ayin-i-Pakistan (TTAP), would stage a sit-in after Friday prayers. \u201cWe demand that Khan sahib be given full access to doctors whom he trusts,\u201d the Allama added. He said that Imran\u2019s physician, Dr Asim Yusuf, is at Shifa Hospital. Dr Amir Awan and Dr Mazhar Ishaq, the two top specialists in Rawalpindi, are also here. \u201cWe can trust them, so we demand that he (Imran) be shifted immediately and provided the right treatment,\u201d he added. \u201cHe (Imran) was in the custody of the government, and his medical care and access to doctors were their responsibility,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, alongside Imran\u2019s sister Aleema Khanum and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, told media outside the Supreme Court that \u201cthis state has committed a crime against Imran Khan.\u201d He stated that the \u201cface of this crime is Abdul Ghafoor Anjum. We will not forget this name\u201d. Anjum has served as the superintendent at the Adiala jail, where Imran is imprisoned. He said the pain in Imran\u2019s eye began in November, and \u201csometime in December, he completely lost vision in his right eye\u201d. He was not taken to hospital, and a qualified doctor to treat him was also not called. Instead, prison doctors kept giving him eye drops as Imran continued to complain that the pain in his eye was not subsiding, he added. Raja said that when the situation worsened, Ghafoor Anjum was immediately replaced on January 16.
