A two-member bench headed by LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum heard the contempt petition filed by Advocate Ahsan Abid. The petitioner argued that Khusro Bakhtiar and Hashim Jawan Bakht had accumulated illegal assets. Despite filing a request with NAB for inquiry and a court order, NAB did not act on the complaint against them. He requested the court to initiate contempt proceedings against the NAB chairman for defying the court order. Chief Justice Aalia Neelum inquired who had appeared on behalf of NAB, to which the government lawyer replied that no one had appeared.
