As a gesture of solidarity, Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi signed the condolence book at the Malaysian Embassy on the passing of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Moreover, Ambassador Qureshi expressed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, paying tribute to the former Prime Minister\u2019s vision, leadership, and contributions to Malaysia\u2019s growth and international standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the past few years, Pakistan and Malaysia have worked together in several key areas, including defense cooperation, education, and trade agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the economic sector, both countries are making efforts to increase bilateral trade, with Malaysia being one of Pakistan\u2019s important trading partners in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The countries signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in 2020 to enhance trade relations and improve economic ties, which has led to growth in areas such as agricultural exports and food processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
