Numbers secured for constitutional amendment, says Sharjeel

KARACHI (National Times) Sindh Minister Sharjeel Memon has said the government has enough numbers to pass a constitutional amendment but seeks consensus.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, the PPP senior leader emphasised efforts to achieve an agreed draft for the country’s best interests.

Memon lamented former judges Iftikhar Chaudhry and Saqib Nasir for undermining the judiciary, and called for removing obstacles to justice.

He also mentioned that a historic rally would be held in Hyderabad on October 18, to hounor the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy.
