PPP’s Samina Ghurki becomes MNA on reserved seat

LAHORE (National Times) Samina Khalid Ghurki of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Friday became MNA on reserved seat as the PPP’s tally in National Assembly increased after the recently held by-election of NA-171.

The Election Commission of Pakistan also issued the notification in this regard.

Ghurki is PPP’s president of woman wing from the Punjab chapter.

Hailing from a veteran political family of Lahore, she has also served as the federal minister in the past.
Earlier, PPP won the by-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan-III.

PPP’s candidate Makhdoom Tahir Rasheed-ud-Din secured 116,429 votes to win the NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan by-election.
