Free Solar Power Systems Announced For These Cities

Islamabad (National Times) According to a private news channel, the Punjab government has made notable progress in its solarization project, with the working plan for providing free solar systems now fully prepared.
The project will be rolled out in phases, starting with the Chief Minister of Punjab approving the pilot phase of the solarization scheme. In this initial phase, solar systems will be provided at no cost to consumers who use up to 200 units of electricity.
Two districts, Rajanpur and Attock, have been selected for the initial distribution of free solar systems, with the project scheduled to commence in October. The Punjab government plans to distribute solar systems worth 30 billion rupees under the solarization scheme.

In the second phase of the project, solar systems will be distributed in less developed districts across Punjab. Consumers using up to 200 units of electricity will receive these systems for free, while those consuming up to 500 units will have access to interest-free loans for solar panel installation.
The solar panels will be provided to consumers on a five-year installment plan. The installments will be lower during the winter months when solar generation is reduced.
