Gunshots fired at Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania (National Times) Donald Trump has been rushed off stage after multiple shots were heard at a rally in Pennsylvania, where the former president was speaking.

Screams tore through the crowd and Mr Trump grabbed at the side of his face as the shots rang out.

Images showed blood on Mr Trump’s face and ear and snipers on the roof near the stage where Mr Trump was standing.

Trump raised a fist as he was escorted to a vehicle by the Secret Service, video footage showed.

A statement from his campaign said he was “fine”.
“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said in the statement.

“He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.
“More details will follow.”

Trump is due to be endorsed as the Republicans’ presidential candidate at the party’s national convention in Milwaukee, which begins on Monday.

Donald Trump was giving a speech in Pennsylvania when he appeared to fall to the ground – at which point he was surrounded by armed security staff.

Trump appeared to fall to the ground as he was giving a speech. He was quickly surrounded by armed security and stayed down for around a minute.

He then rose to his feet and put his fist in the air, before being escorted off stage and into a vehicle, and then driven away from the scene.

Video appeared to show blood on his ear as he was taken away. The former president appeared to be clutching the side of his head as he fell to the ground.

Republican senator for Ohio, J.D Vance, said in a post on the X social media platform: “Everyone join me in praying for our President Trump and everyone at that rally. I hope everyone is ok.”
