Unannounced load shedding case: Justice Faisal Zaman recommends to fix the petition to some other bench

LAHORE (National Times) Justice Faisal Zaman of Lahore High Court (LHC) has recommended to fix for hearing to some other bench the petition filed against undeclared load shedding.
The petition came for hearing before justice Faisal Zaman of LHC Monday.

Justice Faisal Zaman returned the petition to chief justice.

The court remarked justice Shahid Karim is is already hearing the petition of this nature. It is appropriate this petition is also fixed therein.

Azhar Siddique advocate, chairman Judicial Activism Panel offered arguments.

The petition said the country has capacity to generate 40000 megawatt electricity. Only 27000 to 28000 electricity is being generated. Load shedding is being observed from 6 to 8 hours in the city and 10 to 12 hours in the villages. Not providing the basic facility like electricity is gross violation of the constitution.

The petitioner had requested the court to order for presenting the details of load shedding.
