28 die, 22 injured, passenger bus plunges into deep ravine

Islamabad (National Times) A passenger bus has plunged in a deep ravine in disrict Washuk of Balochistan leaving 28 persons dead and 22 injured. According to Rescue authorities the injured were immediately shifted to hospital. The authorities said the incident took place after the tyre of bus burst due to overspeeding. Bus was on its way from Gawadar to Quetta. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief over traffic accident and prayed for early recovery of injured persons. We stand with bereaved families in this hour of trial and express our heartfelt sympathy with them. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over loss of precious lives in the accident. In a statement today, he directed concerned officials to provide better health facilities to injured passengers. He also expressed sympathy with bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.
