Punjab govt decides to investigate charges of corruption, nepotism against VC Agriculture university Faisalabad

FAISALABAD (National Times) Punjab government has decided to conduct investigation into the allegations of corruption, nepotism and others against Vice Chancellor (VC) Agriculture University Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan through concerned administrative institution of university agriculture department Punjab.

The governor Punjab has directed to work out summary for proceedings in the case the allegations are proved against him.

VC Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan is going to retire from service in September.
The matters of ignoring the orders of chancellor, sending son abroad on irregular scholarship, payment of funds in advance in this regard, illegal appointment of 608 employees in university without advertisement. receiving additional salary of Rs 42 lac by keeping post of project director in addition to vice chancellor with him, appointment of 99 employees as invigilators in university of Kamalia despite ban by Election Commission and favoring family members in university.

A case of anti corruption is already registered against VC. However inquiry is pending.
