Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood’ appeals against indictment in cipher case fixed for hearing

ISLAMABAD (National Times) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed the hearing of appeals filed by Pakistan Tehreejk e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his close allay Shaha Mehmood Qureshi against indictment in cipher case.
IHC ‘s Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, and Justice Mian Gull Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the appeals on May 21.

It is pertinent to note that the hearing of the case couldn’t held due to cancellation of court cause list on May 15.

There is a possibility that the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) special prosecutor Hamid Ali Shah will conclude the arguments on the case in the next hearing.
PTI founder’s counsel will present the arguments after prosecutor’s arguments conclusion.

Its is worth to note that Imran and Shah Mehmood Qureshi were indicted in cipher case (waving alleged state secret in public) and were sentenced to 10-year rigorous imprisonment on Jan 30.
