Donald Trump ‘suspends’ presidential campaign in email

New York(National Times): Former US president Donald Trump seized the moment on the first day of this month marking April Fools’ with a message that left several people stunned, as he has been campaigning hard to seek reelection in the White House in November.

A similar message was also received by a reporter from Axios who uploaded screenshots of the email from Donald Trump. The subject line read: “I’m suspending my campaign…”

However, when the email is opened, it continues the sentence with all caps: “Just kidding — happy April Fools Day!”

“I will never stop fighting for the American people. I will never surrender,” the email read further, adding that “we can’t sit back and watch Crooked Joe Biden continue to destroy our GREAT country.”

The 77-year-old continued to reiterate the flaws under Joe Biden’s administration such as “open borders, skyrocketing crime, record inflation, targeted prosecutions and humiliation overseas.”

“We all know that there is so much at stake this November. That’s why it is more crucial than ever for all Trump supporters to STAND UP to play a leading role in helping us WIN BACK THE WHITE HOUSE,” the email read which was also quoted by a Washington Times report.

Republican presidential forerunner afterwards asked for “100,000 patriots to chip in at least $5 for his reelection campaign.”

“Listen, Friend, Joe Biden just raised over $25 MILLION from the liberal elite in New York City,” referring to last week’s star-studded fundraiser featuring former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton in New York City.

In response, the business mogul is hoping to break the 81-year-old Biden’s record by raising $33 million in Florida on Saturday.
