Opposition should not play with constitution: SAPM Babar Awan

ISLAMABAD: Babar Awan SAPM on parliamentary affairs has said opposition should not play with the constitution.

Addressing a press conference here Monday he said government has kept doors open for talks. What was said by opposition about overseas Pakistanis was inappropriate, he added.

Government considers parliament supreme and it supports to discuss issues in the house, he remarked. Government wants to legislate and on the other hand opposition refused to accept supremacy of parliament twice.

He underlined Prime Minister Imran Khan is in favor of giving right to vote to overseas Pakistanis and the court says that overseas Pakistanis are part of the country.

What proposals have been given by Shahbaz Sharif about overseas Pakistanis are fraud plan as he wants that ten million overseas Pakistanis should be deprived of right to vote, he claimed. Right to vote is fundamental right of overseas Pakistanis.

Shahbaz Sharif went to blind alley after announcement of decision against Nawaz Sharif, he stated.

Opposition should shun bargaining and opposition leaders should come to parliament and talk therein in this regard, he added.

Bid was made to block the process of approval of budget in Balochistan assembly, he claimed.
