PTI’s Shibli Faraz, NA speaker discuss resignations’ issue

ISLAMABAD (National Times) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader and senator Shibli Faraz on Monday called on the National Assembly Speaker Raja Perviaz Ashraf.

Sources privy to the development the PTI leader conveyed the deposed premier Imran Khan’s message to Mr Pervaiz and asked him to accept lawmakers’ resignations simultaneously.

Upon this, the NA speaker said that he will accept the resignations in accordance with constitution, sources added.

Speaking to post meeting media talk, Senator Shibli Faraz said that “as a senate member I met Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and Sentor Mushahid Hussain, Dilawar Khan were also with me.”

“There was no discussion about the resignations issue,” he continued.
