Blocking roads declared satanic act by Prophet Muhammad (SAW): Justice Isa

ISLAMABAD (National Times) – Supreme Court (SC) senior Judge, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, while making important remarks regarding the closure of roads during the protests, said that the Messenger of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) had declared the process of blocking the roads as satanic.

The Supreme Court has ruled on the violation of fundamental rights due to the closure of roads, in which it is clear that gatherings cannot be held on the roads without permission.

The judge said that the right to freedom of expression cannot be exercised by affecting the fundamental rights of others, the road cannot be used for gathering indefinitely, so protesters who obstruct people’s right to use roads must be held accountable under the law.

Justice Isa further said that it is not only the responsibility of the state to facilitate the gathering of protesters, the first and fundamental responsibility of the state is to protect the fundamental rights of every citizen.
