Showbiz stars strongly condemn assassination attempt on Imran Khan

LAHORE (National Times) – The showbiz stars on Thursday condemned the assassination attempt on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan amid the long march in Wazirabad.

-Armeena Rana Khan-

Noted actress Armeena Rana has strongly condemned the gunfire attack on the PTI chief [Imran] and other party leaders. “I am shell-shocked. Did these guys seriously think that they can get away with this in today’s world?”

-Arslan Naseer-

YouTuber Arslan Naseer penned. “Assassination attempt on Imran Khan! Heard he is safe but injured. May Allah keep him, his companions & the protestors safe.”

-Rohail Hyatt-

Renowned composer and the Vital Signs frontman Rohail Hyatt penned, “Thank God Imran Khan is safe. This is not a good development. Allah khair karay.”

-Ali Zafar-

Superstar Ali Zafar said, “I remember the dark,depressing days n time after the assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma BeNazir Bhutto. God forbid had anything fatal happened to @ImranKhanPTI no one can imagine what would erupt. If this is his spirit after being shot 3-4 times in the leg we do need to #ImranKhan.”
