PTI long march: Imran says he still holds ‘trump card’

LAHORE (National Times) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Wednesday claimed that he still has a ‘trump card’, saying that he himself will decide the place and time of a possible long march.

PTI leader Waseem Ramay called on former prime minister [Imran Khan], during which he [Imran] tasked the party leaders with preparations for the long march. On this occasion, Imran said that 6,000 people should be brought from each district for the Haqeqi Azadi March. Every party organization should submit its data to Senator Shibli Faraz after completing preparations for the long march, added the PTI chairman.

Continuing the discussion on long march preparations, PTI chief [Imran] stated that he would issue a call for the long march as soon as the data of the organizations will be completed.

Earlier, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Imran Khan at the Chief Minister House in which Asad Umar, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Yasmin Rashid, Hammad Azhar and other leaders participated. On this occasion, Imran Khan lashed out at his political opponents and said that the country must get rid of the corrupt mafia.
