Islamabad becomes third largest city in terms of child exploitation

ISLAMABAD (National Times) – Pakistan’s federal capital has become the third largest city in terms of child exploitation.

The Federal Ombudsman has released a report on the street child, according to which Pakistan s position in the Global Children s Rights Index is 148. Islamabad Police is also patronizing beggars.

According to the report, street children told that the police often take their money, while 52 percent are victims of verbal violence and 38 percent are victims of physical violence.

In this regard, the report further stated that four percent of street children are subjected to sexual violence and 65 percent of street children were subjected to verbal violence by the public.
