Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) being observed across country

LAHORE (National Times) – The Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is being observed today (Saturday) across the country including Lahore with religious reverence to remember the supreme sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions for the cause of Islam.

The district administrations and law enforcement agencies have finalized all necessary arrangements to facilitate the mourners. Processions would be taken out on Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) Chehlum in various cities and towns of the country.

Meanwhile, Federal Government has authorized deployment of Army troops and personnel of civil armed forces to maintain law and order across the country at the Chehlum of Imran Hussain (RA).

The approval to this effect was given on the request of all the four provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

Besides, a Central Control Room has been established at the Ministry of Interior to monitor the overall security situation in the country.
