IG Police Punjab put on notice in PML-N leader Javed Latif arrest case

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to IG Police Punjab on the petition filed against the arrest of PML-N leader and MNA, Javed Latif.
The court has sought reply from the IG Police Punjab.
LHC single bench led by Justice Anwar ul Haq Pannu took up for hearing a petition filed by Munawar Latif against the arrest of his brother Javed Latif Wednesday.

The petitioner has challenged the arrest of Javed Latif through this petition.

The counsel for the petitioner took the plea in the court no approval was obtained from speaker National Assembly before the arrest of Javed Latif. The arrest stands to no justification if legal norms are not met. CIA Police have kept Javed Latif under illegal detention.
